OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD

Carl Ramey is a 39-year law enforcement veteran.  He served for 35 years with the Savannah Police Department and retired in 2017.  He held numerous assignments throughout his career with the Savannah Police Department before his retirement in 2017, at the rank of Captain.  He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute (Administrative Officers Course - University of Louisville/Ky) and holds both a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in public administration from Savannah State University. 

 

He is an ordained minister and currently serves as associate pastor of Evangel Temple Full Gospel Church of Savannah.  Carl came out of retirement in June 2020 and has served with the Statesboro Police Department for the past four years.

 

He has been married to his wife Barbara for 42 years and they have three children.  His youngest is following in his father’s footsteps and currently works as a forensics investigator with the Savannah Police Department.
